Northeast Seattle Events: Things to Do in April

April is for eating, egg hunts, and Earth Day (plus theatre outings!). Find these Northeast Seattle events in your neighborhood and fill up on local fun.

April 2-6 & 9-13: Seattle Restaurant Week

The spring edition of the popular citywide Seattle Restaurant Week has arrived! Around Northeast Seattle, you can dine at any of five participating eateries: Frank’s Oyster House & Champagne Parlor in Ravenna; Mamma Melina Ristorante & Pizzeria in University/Montlake; Pair in University/Montlake; Piatti Ristorante & Bar in University/Montlake; and Sand Point Grill in Laurelhurst. Three-course dinners will be available for only $32, and some locations will also offer a three-course lunch for $18. See the Seattle Restaurant Week website for details and to book your spot.

April 15: Seattle Parks and Recreation Easter Egg Hunts

Seattle Parks and Recreation will host a series of free Easter egg hunts and activities at community centers around the city. Four Northeast Seattle locations will be participating: Montlake Community Center, Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center, Nathan Hale Stadium, and Laurelhurst Park. All neighborhood events will take place on Saturday, April 15, beginning at 10am, with check-in ending at 9:45. Specific activities and age ranges vary, so check out the website for more details.

April 7-30: Seattle Musical Theatre Presents “Kiss Me, Kate”

The Sam and Bella Spewack classic, with classic music and lyrics by Cole Porter, comes to Seattle Musical Theatre. Catch this Tony-award winning production before the end of April at any of several matinee and evening performances. More information and tickets available here.

April 22: Earth Day Run
10am | Magnuson Park

Run miles and plant trees! This annual Magnuson Series run will feature a 5k, 10k, 15k, and half marathon. A tree will be planted in each participant’s honor, and finishers will receive a native sapling tree they can plant themselves. Come for the race, stay for the post-race planting party! Organic snacks and prizes will also be available.
